I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
